  • #ThrowbackThursday to tiny Jemma 👶🏻🌸 in her little nursery corner! We’ve since taken her crib down (she sleeps so much better in a pack n play) so it looks a little different now, but I wanted to share how I put it all together! It was the perfect little set up for her first 6 months. And since we have one room for the three of us, having a functional and cute area just for her was important!   • IT’S OFFICIAL: You’re looking at your newest US Military family! @crishjubie is joining the Air Force ✈️🇺🇸 as a cryptologic ground linguist and will be shipping out in exactly two months from today for basic training. After his 8 1/2 weeks of boot camp, we’ll be sent to Monterey Bay, California for his technical training at the Defense Language Institute. And because he’ll be learning a category 4 language (Korean, Chinese, or Arabic), we’ll most likely be there for about a year and a half. We’re so excited for this adventure! And I’m so proud of my smart hubby. Thank you for working so hard for this, baby!
  • I am finally becoming more confident in my abilities as a mom. 💪🏻This isn’t something I’ve really shared about on here, but I’ve had some postpartum anxiety about taking Jemma out and about on my own. Specifically driving alone with her. But this weekend, I totally crushed that fear! I drove an hour and 15 minutes to a baby shower up north, took her to play with some cousins, and then to the mall! We finished with a little dinner date at @blue.lemon (she LOVED their sweet potato fries!) and then drove home. In the dark! I was so proud of myself. She was a perfect baby (except for a few minutes in the Apple store) and we had the best time. It also made me not so afraid for when Cristian is in basic training...I can do it! #jemmajoliej
  • I can’t believe this photo was taken a year ago this month! I was husband-less last night because @crishjubie had his physical test/exam for enlisting into the Air Force and I gotta say, I didn’t love it. 😩 He’s my home, and my safety. I cried like a baby when he left yesterday because I realized how REAL everything is getting, and that basic training is going to SUCK (with no contact besides letters here and there for 8 1/2 weeks). But. We’ve been through soooo much this past year and we are excited to move on with our lives. He called me just now and said he basically already has an offer (and tentative ship out date...eeeek!). We’ll share more soon, but guys. This is our path. As hard as it’s going to be, it’ll be the best adventure. #cristianandsonja #AirForceFamily
  • Always & forever grateful that he never hesitates to change her poopy diapers at church (she ALWAYS poops in the morning and now that we have church at 9 am it’s like clockwork every Sunday). 😂😂😂 Thanks, baby 😘 #realparenthood
  • 💕Morning snuggles 💕 Reposting this because I didn’t like my edit on the last one. I’ve been going through somewhat of an “Instagram identity crisis” if that’s even a thing. It’s so hard to get ahead in the Instagram/social media world, and if you have a blog or business attached, it can be extra disheartening when the algorithm keeps changing, people buy fake followers, and it gets harder and harder to be “unique.” I often don’t post because I feel like my content isn’t perfect enough. But then I post about my postpartum or motherhood experiences and get comments and messages from so many of you going through something similar. So, I’m going to continue sharing, and not worry about my “number.” Because we are more than a number of followers or likes, ladies. We are so much more.
