Bath and Body Works Candle Day Sale 2018: Best Scents, Shopping Tips

The most anticipated Bath and Body Works sale of the year is here — it’s Candle Day! All 3-wick candles (normally $24.50) are on sale for $8.95. The Bath and Body Works Candle Day sale is one day only, Dec. 1st, 2018, but is live online now.

Most stores open at 7 am on Dec. 1st, but if you want to shop online, use the code CANDLEDAY at checkout for the discount.

Bath & Body Works candles are a staple in our house — seriously, you don’t want to know how many we have in our stash 😉

Here are my favorite Bath and Body Works Candle Day scents, including ones I want to try. Photos courtesy of Bath and Body Works.

The Best Bath and Body Works Candle Day Scents

According to the Bath & Body Works’ Instagram account, they have released 32 Candle Day exclusives just for the Candle Day sale. That’s on top of their regular and seasonal/holiday scents for 120+ candles to choose from!

My Favorites

These are a mix of candles I love and ones I have smelled but not bought yet.

Hot Cocoa & Cream is THE BEST Bath and Body Works Candle out there. It’s the perfect amount of chocolate and in my opinion, is great all year round (but I do gravitate towards the sweeter scents, as you’ll see in this blog post).

Buy Hot Cocoa & Cream here. Pro tip: If a scent you love is sold out online, look for it with a different label design. Some scents have multiple label designs. Hot Cocoa & Cream has four.

Maple Cinnamon Pancakes smells SOO GOOD. If you want your house to smell like freshly baked goods, this one’s a winner. Fragrance notes: Nutmeg Essential Oil, Maple Syrup & Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes. Buy it here.

White Mint Latte is one I’m definitely grabbing when I brave the store tomorrow morning. I love most of Bath and Body Work’s coffee candles, and this one is one of the best for sure. The perfect blend of coffee and mint = the perfect Christmas candle. Fragrance notes: Fresh Peppermint, White Chocolate, Whipped Milk. Buy it here.

Twisted Peppermint is a beloved Bath & Body Works Christmas lotion scent, in candle form! This is one my husband (who can sometimes be picky with his candle scents) says we HAVE to get. Fragrance notes: Cool Peppermint, Sugared Snow, Vanilla Buttercream, Fresh Balsam, Hint of Musk. Buy it here.

Runners up: Blueberry Sugar, Merry Cookie, Butter Rum Eggnog, Butter Rum Eggnog, Pumpkin Donut Shop (online only)

Bath & Body Works Candle Day Exclusives

I am totally ooo-ing and ahh-ing over these exclusives. Some are brand new scents, scents that are being brought back from previous years, or summer scents that aren’t normally available in the winter.

Red Velvet Cupcake sounds to die for. Fragrance notes: Lush Red Velvet Cake, Cream Cheese Frosting, Sweet Vanilla. Buy it here.

French Baguette is probably the most unique candle available during the Bath & Body Works Candle Day sale. I mean coooome on! It’s a customer favorite from 2012 (my obsession hadn’t quite started yet so I’ve never smelled this one). I am crossing my fingers my store has it tomorrow so I can smell it before buying, since it’s so different. Fragrance notes: Slow Rising Dough, Crispy Crust & a Fresh Out of the Oven Aroma. Buy it here.

Creamy Nutmeg seems like another perfect Christmas/winter candle. Fragrance notes: Grated Nutmeg, Cinnamon Stick, Sugared Almonds, Creamy Vanilla. Buy it here.

Candle Day Exclusives runners up: Gelato, Banana Split Milkshake, and Pink Petal Tea Cake.

Bath and Body Works Candle Day Tips

Just a few things to keep in mind:

  • Some candles are only available online, and it looks like some are either only available in store (like Gooey Marshmallow and Peppermint Brownie).
  • Many candles will go out of stock online. I’m not sure if they will restock online or not.
  • Some stores will open at 7 am on Dec. 1st. Find your store’s Candle Day hours here.
  • There’s a limit of 15 candles per order.
  • Offer may not be combined with any other coupons or code-based promotions (at least online, I’m not sure if you will be allowed to use coupons in store. I will update when I know).

Happy shopping!
